Letters from the Fire
Volume 1
When the king of Roisinan falls in battle, his bastard son leads the army to victory. He exacts a heavy price for his leadership by seizing the throne from its rightful heir, his nine-year-old half sister Anghara Kir Hama. Anghara is forced into hiding to wait for the day she can reclaim her crown.

A few years later her latent power of Sight, feared and respected in Roisinan for centuries, becomes the instrument that reveals her hiding place. She flees to sanctuary in the Tower of Bresse where she learns to control her Sight, part clairvoyance, part magic. But she is forced to flee once again when Sif attacks and destroys the tower and all within.

Forced into exile in the harsh forbidden wastes of the desert land of Kheldrin, Anghara finds friendship, strength and the beginnings of a strange destiny in the scorching sands. In the desert she finally comes to understand her awesome power as she grows in strength and prepares for her return to Roisinan.

Volume 2
Anghara's return to her native Roisinan to lay claim to her ancient throne begins disastrously. Recognised and betrayed, she is imprisoned in her brother's dungeons, drugged and robbed of her powers of Sight.

Only the loyalty of her childhood friend Kieran and his band of rebels stand between her and her final destruction at her half-brother Sif's hands. Kieran, with the unexpected help of Sif's child-bride, frees Anghara but her mind has been nearly destroyed by Sif's drugs.

With her soul imprisoned in drug-induced madness, it is left up to Kieran to bring her once more to the deserts of Kheldrin. Here her ultimate power and destiny are revealed, and the ancient worlds of Roisinan and Kheldrin tremble to the awakening of a strange new power - the Changer of Days, the Ender of Ages, whose coming marks the end of one world and the beginning of another.
